Titles: US Navy seaman's copy of The New Testament (Supplied title)
Description: Copy of "The New Testament" with a navy blue cover stamped "AMERICAN NAVY / YMCA". It was distributed during World War I by the Y.M.C.A. to members of the United States Navy, including Seaman Edward R. Stensrud. The first page contains a letter from President Woodrow Wilson dated 23 July,1917. This is one of several souvenirs (ID Numbers 1976.28.B through 1976.28.R) contained in Stensrud's World War I ditty box (ID Number 1976.28.A).
