Description: This 1905 model Smith and Wesson Hand-Ejector Military and Police revolver was used by Saint Paul Police Detective Henry Cummings to injure John Dillinger in a shoot out at the Lincoln Court Apartments in Saint Paul, Minnesota in 1934. The handgun uses .38 caliber Smith and Wesson Special cartridges, commonly known as .38 Special, and has blued steel, a six-shot capacity, and checkered-ivory grips on a square butt. The barrel has been shortened and the hammer spur has been removed. The bottom grip strap is grooved and rear strap has a solder-filled hole. The holster is made of brown leather with two belt loops and a retaining strap fastening with a brass snap.
