Dakota quillwork knife sheath
Description A Dakota parfleche quillwork knife sheath with red and yellow pigment painting on the body and a decoration at the opening of a strip of cream, red and blue quillwork with tin cone jingles hanging from it. It was collected during the 1863 expedition into Dakota territory led by Henry Sibley.
