Description: This snare drum was presented to Henry H. Velie, Musician with the 8th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company F, by the men of the Company during the Civil War. The rope tension drum has a red wooden frame with red and blue rims, leather ears, and skin heads, and brass tack decorations.
