| Description | Unfinished watercolor and pencil study for a poster, possibly by Mary S. Campbell, circa 1915. Study is paper mounted on paperboard depicting a man with a yellow hat, pipe, blue pants and pointed "Dutch" shoes; a girl with hat; and a woman with sunbonnet, shawl, long skirt and bag. Figures have backs to viewer and are studying a sign printed "ANNUAL EXHIBITION/ HANDICRAFT GUILD/ MAY 5 JUNE 15/ WORK BY THE/ STUDENTS". Two black birds perch on top of sign and a black cat/ dog is in the lower left corner. Lower right corner is broken off. |
