This square diamond-shaped button commemorates the AIDS Memorial Quilt, which was on a national tour and displayed at Minneapolis Metrodome in 1992. The Quilt project was founded in 1987 as an awareness-raising community arts project commemorating the lives of those who had died of AIDS. The button reads: "THE QUILT. SEE IT AND UNDERSTAND." The button was made in Boston, Massachusetts. |
