Titles: Civil War soldier's handmade suit (Supplied title)
Description: Handmade coarse white cotton jacket and trousers made by Orange S. King, of Company D, 1st Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment. King reportedly made the suit from a sheet of muslin on which a comrade died during their incarceration at Libby Prison in Richmond, Virginia, during the Civil War. King had received a bayonet wound to his right eye and was subsequently captured at the Battle of Bull Run on July 21, 1861, where the 1st Minnesota sustained the heaviest casualties of any Federal regiment in the field.
