Dakota bow

Description Varnished and painted Dakota bow, rectangular in cross-section, with tapered ends, circa the 19th or early 20th century. It is strung with twisted sinew tied and knotted around notches cut into either end.The painted decorations are in shades of green and red and feature both geometric and foliate designs.
