Infant's dress
Description White cotton infant's dress used by the family of Captain Gates A. Johnson, Jr. during the Civil War. The dress's one-piece front gathers at the round neckline. Its two-piece back gathers at both the waistband and neckline. The skirt has a tuck near its hem. Scalloped cotton lace trims the short cap sleeves and neckline. Back button closure at waistband.
