Description: Civil War Union rosette badge made of satin with cardboard backing and mounted with a brass 1855-issue United States Army General Service shank button. Written on the left tail is "1861 / UNION / ROSETTE." The badge belonged to Dr. E. Brewer Mattocks, who served with the 2nd and 7th Minnesota Infantry Regiments.
