Description: A beaded leather purse with metal frame, possibly Dakota, circa the mid- to late 19th century. The bag's exterior surfaces are spot-stitch decorated with multicolored glass seed beads. The obverse and reverse feature bird motif with exaggerated red heart above a symmetrical floral spray motif. The interior is lined with brown cotton fabric.
