Description: Pieced cotton United States pennant with fourteen hand-sewn white stars. The flag was flown on a gunboat during the Civil War by the 5th Minnesota Infantry Regiment during the Red River Campaign in Louisiana. Minnesota troops fought at the Red River on 22 May 1864.
