Description: Black lace over ecru silk taffeta, gown. Severe mono bosom bodice with high standing collar, dropped netted yoke with tucked lace and lace applique on silk. Modified leg of mutton sleeve. Skirt is wide gored lisse with fullness at center back and netted ribbon lace dropping into tucked ribbon lace flounces. Silk ruffled petticoat has lisse over petticoat. Attributed to Lina Christianson, Minneapolis, Minnesota dressmaker, circa 1905. Worn by Anna Malcom Agnew Davis, whose husband, Cushman K. Davis, was a Minnesota Governor and United States Senator.
