Not Waiting for a Cure Oral History Project: Interview with Grace Arrington
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Grace Arrington helped start the Circle of Love, the state's first support group for African Americans with AIDS. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: She discusses the effect the epidemic is having on African Americans and the role of the Minneapolis Urban League in responding to the epidemic. Arrington is concerned about the growing violence in Minneapolis and about America's focus on sex as a marketing tool. She talks about the integration of white and black culture brought about in response to the AIDS epidemic and her experiences as a foster parent.
