Description: United States Army soldier's folding shaving kit is contained in a grayish olive green [not a National Bureau of Standards color] cotton fabric case stamped "Auto Strop/ SAFETY/ RAZOR / PROPERTY U.S. ARMY" in silver. It contains an oval chromed iron mirror, a silvered brass safety razor, a pigskin strop, and a paper package printed "Blue Star / MADE IN / USA" that contains two single-edge razor blades. The mirror, razor and strop are marked similarly to the case, using variations of "Auto Strop". Latest patent date is 1914.
