Description BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Michelle Buck was born in 1969 and lives in north Moorhead, Minnesota, with her husband. Buck has two daughters, Amber, who also participated in the interview, and Karli. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: The flooding that threatened the family's home in Moorhead; Buck's decision to send her daughters to stay with their grandmother in East Grand Forks; the situation in East Grand Forks when the dikes collapsed and Buck, her mother and her daughters had to be evacuated from the city; spending time in Crookston with other relatives; the flood's effect on an extended family; and post-flood cleanup and repairs to the family home, which Buck and her husband were able to save.
