Description: Black wool, tubular-knitted sock with seam in toe-line. Top edge is bound in blanket-stitched deep blue (National Bureau of Standards) fading to light bluish gray (NBS) wool. Beginning at 8cm from top, there is a row of deep grayish purple (NBS), 1cm (w) looped-chain crocheted wool fringe hand-sewn around the sock every 2cm to the toe. There are a number of holes in the heel, toe, upper edge and body. The top edge is frayed and broken. The fringe trim is worn and missing in spots. There are a number of darned areas done in olive black (NBS) wool.
