US Army brigadier general's shoulder straps

| Description | Two pairs of United States Army brigadier general's shoulder strap rank insignias. The insignias were worn by Colonel John B. Sanborn of the 4th Minnesota Infantry Regiment. The insignias consist of a five-point star and a gold bullion embroidered border on a cloth base. Straps A and B are on black velvet; straps C and D are on dark blue wool. C and D also have a brown shoe lace attached at each end. |
