Description An Iroquois beaded watch pocket whimsy, circa the late 19th century. The object features an arabesque shape cut from red wool and backed with card, containing a pocket for a watch, heavily ornamented by raised beadwork in clear beads. Objects like these were made by Haudenosaunee women in the Niagara Falls region for sale to tourists.
