Description: Pieced silk United States flag with gold painted stars on the canton. One large encircled star, meant to represent Minnesota, is surrounded by thirty-three smaller stars. The flag was made by the ladies of Saint Anthony in May, 1861, and presented to the 1st Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment, who marched from Fort Snelling to Saint Anthony for the presentation of the flag. The flag remained hung in the Wilcox House in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during and after the Civil War.
