Description: A Dakota doll made by the Rebecca Bluecloud family from the Upper Sioux Indian Community in Granite Falls, Minnesota, circa the early 20th century. The doll features black faceted glass bead eyes, black yarn hair, and green fabric swaddling. The natural leather papoose is edged in tiny yellow glass beads and has a leather thong front closure. Thong ties with large decorative beads extend from the corners of the cradleboard.
