Northeastern Native American beaded coin purse
Description A small coin purse lined with light brown cotton material to which an exterior of black velvet decorated with glass beads in a symmetrical curvalinear motifs has been sewn, the body an flap of which are edged in blue silk. While this object certainly may have been collected among the Dakota, its aesthetic indicates its origin is with the Wabanaki of the extreme northeastern United States. Made for sale.
