Description: Leather field medicine kit containing four glass vials with cork stoppers. Two of the vials are marked "Quinine" and "Camphor"; a third has a printed label reading "DOVERS POWDERS / M. W. SERL. / DRUGGIST / Lebanon, Missouri"; the fourth is blank. The kit belonged to J.W. Hayes, who carried it during the Civil War and bequeathed it to the Daughters of the American Revolution upon his death at the Minnesota Soldiers' Home.
