Description: A Dakota leather carrying case for scissors, circa 1900. The case has a leather thong attached at the back and hide fringe on the bottom. The front and top flap are completely covered with beadwork representing a red pair of scissors on a blue bead background. The top flap has a pink and red diamond pattern. Other bead colors include green, dark blue, gold and red. The case is from the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, South Dakota, and was probably made as a tourist souvenir.
