Description: United States Light House Service uniform hat worn by Orren Young, the first head light keeper at Split Rock Light Station on the coast of Lake Superior near Two Harbors, Minnesota. The wool flannel hat has a lighthouse badge made of silver and gold bullion, a mohair band, oilcloth visor, and a patent leather chin strap. Made by D. Klein and Brothers in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
