Description: Large dark brown glazed cloth Ojibwe bandolier bag and strap both have one side solidly covered with spot-stitched beadwork in multi-color asymmetrical floral patterns on white bead backgrounds. Both glass and metal seed beads are used. A black velvet panel above the exterior pocket is spot-stitched with an asymmetrical floral motif using white, red, pink, blue, green and orange glass seed beads. The pocket and strap are lined with glazed dark brown cloth and the edges of both are bound with green velvet. The side edges of the bag are bound with wide black ribbon; the top edge has an additional binding of purple ribbon. The bottom of the bag is fringed with twenty-two loops of translucent yellow glass "basket" beads strung on dark red wool yarn, each terminating in a yarn tassel. Collected in Cass Lake, Minnesota.
