Pipestone/catlinite pipe bowl and stem

| Description | Elbow style, pipestone bowl (A) with pewter inlay at bowl rim and posterior projection. Rectangular wood pipestem has a rectangular longitudinal cut out section, at one end. The cut out section contains a central carving of bicones, brightly painted. The stem is intricately carved with a floral motif on both sides and carved elements in the shape of a star, circle, and clover. Stem is brightly painted throughout, predominant colors are blue, red, yellow, green and black. |
