Description Pair of hand-knit, thigh-length silk women's stockings. The stockings are knit in the round in stockinette with a false seam at the back of each leg. One stocking is solid maroon. The bottom two-thirds of the other stocking is solid maroon, while the top third is a lighter shade, as if the knitter ran out of the darker shade of yarn before completing the second stocking.
