Description: Currency issued by the Republic of Liberia in Monrovia, Liberia. Denomination of fifty (50) cents. The note features an image of a sailing ship, plow and palm tree. It reads, in part, "On Demand at the Treasury Department, / the Treasurer of the REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA / will pay to Bearer, in Gold or Silver Coin, / FIFTY CENTS." Undersigned by Ben Anderson, Secretary of the Treasury and Stephen A Benson, President of Liberia.
