Description: White plastic covered foam seat cushion is stamped "ALABAMA / DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION" and features a red, white and blue image of the Democratic Party donkey kicking a rooster with a banner marked "WHITE SUPREMACY". The lower left corner is handwritten in ink "To / The Honorable / Hubert H. Humphrey / Vice President of the / United States / Compliments of / Alabama Unit of / Southern Democratic Conference / Orzell Billingsley, Jr., Chairman / 5-22-67". The seat cushion was given to Humphrey on his visit to Huntsville, Alabama, on May 22, 1967 by Orzell Billingsley, Jr., who served as General Counsel for the National Democratic Party of Alabama.
