Description: BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Ed and Kay Gilman moved to Fifty Lakes, Minnesota from Illinois in 1946. They spent their lives raising their family and running Gilman's Resort. They had recently sold the resort property and moved to a home built on part of the land that they retained. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Ed and Kay talk of the challenges of running a resort and describe a typical day. They discuss their observations of changes in the resort industry in northern Minnesota, and offer their views on factors that brought about those changes. COMMENTS ON INTERVIEW: This video interview includes indoor and outdoor shots of Gilman's resort.
