Minnesota Photographers Oral History Project: Interview with Clifford Peel
BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Clifford Peel was a commercial photographer in Minneapolis for over forty years, first working for the Hibbard Studio and then, in 1925, creating his own business: Norton & Peel. He and Walter Norton were the leading commercial photographers in Minneapolis until 1965 when the business was sold. The Minnesota Historical Society owns all the surviving Norton & Peel negatives, including Hibbard negatives which Norton & Peel bought in 1928.
