She is the daughter of Fred Sims (born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 23, 1897) and Florence Austin (born in Hastings, Minnesota on October 28, 1900). SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Mrs. Thomas discusses the background and life of her great-grandfather, Joseph Edwards, who was born in Kalamazoo, Missouri in 1844 and migrated to Lakeville, Minnesota in about 1858.
