Oral history interview with Esther Lindquist
Description BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Ester Lindquist was born in 1900. Her daughter, Gladys Harthun was born in 1919. Ester moved from her birth place of the Twin Cities to the Zippel Bay area in 1905. Ester currently lives in Williams, MN. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: The interview consists of what it was like living at Zippel Bay. History of the original five families, how Zippel came to the area in 1898 and the origin of the fishery. Some information on the townsite, the school, the social get-togethers and the fire of 1910. Esther also mentions the Zippel family and their home.
