Description: BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Emil Mattson was born on his parents' farm near Kensington, Minnesota, in November of 1897 and worked the farm himself as an adult. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Mattson comments on how he, his father, and Olof Ohman, on whose farm the Kensington rune stone was found, chiseled holes in rocks on Oman's property in their work removing rocks from fields and gathering rocks for use in the foundations of buildings. Mattson also discusses other aspects of farm life.
