Description: This oral history project focuses on the physical appearance of the buildings and operation of the Mille Lacs Trading Post, near Vineland, Minnesota, which had previously been owned by Harry and Jeanette Ayer. All of the interviewees resided on or near the Mille Lacs Indian Reservation, worked at the trading post, and were well acquainted with the Ayers. The audio tapes are held by the Mille Lacs Tribal Archives, Onamia, Minnesota.
