Description: BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Mary was a very early advertiser in the Minnesota Women's Press, both because she thought it was good business and to support Minnesota Women's Press, Inc. She was an avid reader of the newspaper, and participated in several bookgroups. Mary had her own business - a State Farm agency - and was the first female agent hired by State Farm in Minneapolis. She used both the newspaper and the Minnesota Women's Directory as resources for her female clients in her work.
