BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Lisa had been in bookgroups at Minnesota Women's Press Inc. [MWP] since 1989, and had been a reader of the newspaper for a similar period. Lisa had subscribed to BookWomen since it started, and she attended one "Book Groups on the Road", a trip to New Mexico. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Early book group on English translations written by women; description of the Great Reads book group; book group culture and processes; contributions of book groups to personal development; description of "Book Group on the Road"; diversity, and lack of diversity, within bookgroups; early bookgroup on autobiography; evolution of bookgroups; activity level on Saturdays at MWP.
