Description BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Wilfrid John Anderson and Edith McShannock are cousins. They along with Robert McShannock, Edith's husband, are the grandchildren of Scandinavian immigrants. Edith Olson McShannock's grandparents owned a dairy, hatchery and farming business begun in the early 1880s. Wilfrid Anderson's father owned a clothing store, which opened in 1924. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Origin of the McShannock name. Lots of family history: Jackson (Jacobson), Olson, Anderson, Damberg, Skoog. Some Swedish geography, folk lore. Bits and pieces on the family dairy, which became the Olson Brothers Dairy. The workings of a pre-WWII dairy. The family's musical traditions.
