The company also owned gifts shops and a pharmacy in White Bear Lake. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Boogren's early family life and family history. Working for Brown and Day Surgical Supply and the East Side Grocery as a teenager. Becoming a soda jerk at Borgstrom's Pharmacy at age 16 and eventually buying into the business. Descriptions of the competition on Payne Avenue and some information on the evolution of businesses in the area including Whirlpool.
