Description BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: U. W. "Judge" Hella attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a civil engineering degree in 1931. In 1933, he began his career with the state parks. He served as superintendent and inspector at many state parks, and was Northern inspector and director of parks and recreation.
