5th Minnesota regimental battle flag

| Description | The regimental battle flag of the 5th Minnesota Infantry with cord and tassels. The flag consists of one layer of blue silk with the Minnesota state seal painted in the center and a ribbon painted over the seal inscribed with the Minnesota state motto in gold pigment. Beneath the seal is a painted red ribbon outlined with gold, holding the unit designation "5TH REGT. MINNESOTA VOLUNTEERS." The flag is bordered on three sides by gold fringe.
