Description: A) One piece purple velvet and satin wedding dress with long cuirass bodice, ruched satin center front panel, with flounced and draped velvet overskirt with slight train. Satin covered and embroidered buttons. B) The matching velvet dolman is a close fitting cape construction with small sleeves attached through the side front. Mantle is ornamented with satin bows and trimmed with fur and a chenille fringe at the hem. Satin covered and embroidered buttons. The sleeves are ornamented with satin bows and hemmed with fur. Worn by Adda Thompson Clements, Winona, Minnesota and made by Saint Paul dressmaker, Mrs. Adam Worley, 1879.
