Description: "Rural Landscape", landscape, screenprint on paper, by Sydney Glenn "Syd" Fossum, done in 1947. In the foregroud on the left side there is a slight inclination in land and a small road wraps around it, going around a section of trees. In the right corner there is another hill, without a road, with more trees. There is a small ditch in between the two, in the middle. Beyond the hills there is some kind of feeding area, two animal figures appear to be eating, and there are 4 piles of what appears to be hay. On the left side of the are, which is white, there is green grass, on the other side there is yellow land. On the yellow land, in front of trees and a hill, there is a small structure, perhaps a barn. There is a hill behind it with more yellow and brown trees. There are brown trees at the foot of the hill as well. Behind the eating pasure there is a winding road with an automobile driving down. The road goes between two large groups of trees, and passes a small shack on the left side. There is more grass on the other side of the road. Beyonf that there are a few small structures and many hills. There are a few telephone poles. The sky is a yellow-green with a couple large, squiggly clouds. At the bottom left hand corner it is signed "Fossum-47".
