Description: During World War II, radio station KSTP-AM broadcast a variety of news and entertainment programming from Fort Snelling, among them a radio drama called "The War Chest Show." This installment, which begins in mid-episode, follows a soldier blinded during the war who has returned home and is feeling hopeless. He speaks with a neighborhood girl who encourages him to go to the University of Minnesota, where other visually impaired students are receiving an education.
