This photograph was probably taken in 1896, around the time of Evangeline Marrs Simpson's wedding to Bishop Whipple. At the time of the creation date given here (1880), Simpson was only 23 years old and had not yet married or even met Whipple. She had also not yet married her first husband, Michael Simpson, and was still known by her maiden name: Marrs.
