Titles: Dakota projectile point (Supplied title)

Description: Bifacial projectile point with slightly convex blade edges and no stem at the proximal end, one of a group of thirty projectile points collected by Colonel John G. Clark of the 50th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment while he was stationed at Fort Rice in Dakota Territory during the U.S.-Dakota War of 1862. This is a type of bird point made out of volcanic glass (obsidian) and although possibly collected in Dakota Territory, this point's ultimate origin was probably Oregon or northern California.
