| Description | BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Patricia Torres Ray was born in Pasto, Colombia. Ray attended law school in Colombia before getting married and moving to Minnesota. She was part of the Chicano Latino Affairs Council and worked for the Department of Human Services. Ray was elected as the first Latina senator of Minnesota and is now serving her second term.
