BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Melvin Littlecrow was born on May 16, 1942 at the Whitecap First Nation Reserve (formerly Mosoat's Reserve) to Jessie Buffalo and Andrew Littlecrow. Melvin is a lifelong member of the Whitecap Reserve. He attended a day school at Whitecap through the eighth grade. He is a direct descendant of Chief Little Crow.
