Titles: Half-dimes (Supplied title)
Description: Two half-dimes dating to 1857 (.1) and 1858 (.2). The coins are identical in their design, which includes engravings of Liberty seated on her shield on the front and the words "Half Dime" and "United States of America" on the back. The half-dimes were originally carried in a coin purse used by Sergeant Matthew Marvin of the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment, Company K during the Civil War.
